Members Only: Holiday Sparklers & Stickies Event

The SF Chapter of the German Wine Society next event will be a festive evening featuring holiday samplers of sparkling and stickies (Sekt wines and sweeter wines). During the event, we will also hold our Chapter's Annual Meeting and elect Chapter Officers and Board Members for calendar year 2022.

About the event
The Board of the San Francisco Chapter of the German Wine Society met this past weekend, and we have scheduled two special in person events over the next roughly three months. Please refer back for more details!
This year's holiday first event will be a “Members Only” event on Saturday evening, December 4, 2021, and that event will be a “Sparklers and Stickies” event featuring two Sekt (sparkling) wines, three Spätlese wines, three Auslese*** wines, and two Beerenauslese wines. The non-Sekt wines will all be from vintages before 2006 from the Chapter cellar or my own personal cellar. Many of these wines are no longer available in the United States according to Wine-Searcher.com.
This event will include enough food served buffet style so that each attendee can have a full meal, including dessert. The formal invitation for this event requesting timely RSVP’s is attached to this email.
At this event, the Chapter will hold its Annual Meeting.
When the term “Members Only” event is used, it means that any current dues-paid Member may bring one non-member guest to the event with that guest also paying the same per person cost as the Member pays. For the December 4, 2021 event the per person cost for timely RSVP’s is $50.00.
It will be a requirement to attend this event that each attendee must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 at the time of the event, i.e., had at least two shots of the Moderna or Pfizer COVID 19 vaccine or one shot of the Johnson & Johnson COVID 19 vaccine. Proof will be required.
Dues for 2022 for any person who has been a past Member of the German Wine Society will be $85.0
